Who? What? Where? When? Why? And For That matter, How?

I’m a writer. These are the questions I ask myself when I write anything. I even ask these questions when I write something on the grocery list. Okay, yes. I’m a little compulsive.

These are great questions, though. They’re an excellent place to start this introduction to The Leonardo Trait Blog.

Who is The Leonardo Trait For?

It’s for creative people, but especially for creatives who aren’t like everyone else. And I mean “aren’t like everyone else” the way dolphins aren’t like otters, other than happening to be swimming mammals.

If you have ever been rejected because you were “too” creative…. If  anyone has ever called you crazy because your creativity and energy seemed strange to them….If you’ve ever felt that your personality just doesn’t fit in the same box as everyone else’s…. The Leonardo Trait is for you.

Who’s Behind The Leonardo Trait?

Angie DixonThat would be me. I’m Angie Dixon. You can learn more about me here, but for now let me just say that I have, actually, had someone think I was crazy because of my creativity. And not just one time. Not just a couple of times. It happened a lot, actually. The last time it happened I decided I wasn’t letting it happen ever again, so I tried to become someone I wasn’t.

Fortunately, I discovered what I called The Leonardo Trait a year or so later. I wrote the first edition of the book The Leonardo Trait, and my life has never been the same.

What Exactly IS The Leonardo Trait?

A book, a blog, and a lot of people who now call themselves Leonardos. You can learn more about the concept of the Leonardo Trait here, and more about the book here.

You can get a free PDF copy of The Leonardo Trait: How Creative People Can Turn Creative Eccentricity into a Life You Love. Click here to find out how.

What Should I Read First?

I recommend reading the “About” page, followed by “The Leonardo Manifesto” and then “The Leonardo Trait: The Book.”

I have written a number of blog posts covering the basics of the Leonardo Trait and living a great life as a Leonardo. I’ve listed some below. As I add more, you’ll find them in the “Fundamentals” category.
